Rely on the Veggies:
Loaded with plenty essential nutrients and vitamins, veggies are also a great source of amino acids and antioxidants which is necessary for the overall functioning of the body. Roasting the veggies leads to loss of nutrients and hence you should prefer to consume raw veggies as much as you can.
Increase your Fibre intake:
If your diet includes an intake of high amount of fibrous foods, it can help in prevention of several diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, cancers, type 2 diabetes, etc. Also, eating a high amount of fibre can help you slim down. The easiest way to increase your fibre intake is through consumption of whole grains such as quinoa, whole-wheat couscous, rolled oats, etc. They can be cooked in various ways or simply added to any of your meal preparations.
Eat less Meat:
Meat consists of saturated fat which increases the level of LDL in the blood and cause arteries to harden. Hence, decreasing the intake of meat can help in keeping a heart healthy. Also, consumption of high amount of saturated fats can cause atherosclerosis which is a threat to the heart. Replace meat with soy which will make you to consume less saturated fat naturally.
Keep a control of your Sugar addiction:
Excess sugar intake will not only increase your calories but will also suppress your immune system. It can lead to a drastic increase in the insulin level and can cause diabetes. Hence, it is advisory to either decrease the sugar intake or you can even replace it with honey. Honey possesses anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which can ward off certain infections.
