Homemade Face Packs to Use for Removing The Holi Colour
India, as everyone knows, is a land of festivals. While Diwali is a festival of lights, Holi is a festival of colours. All over the country, this festival is celebrated with utmost joy and colours.
Each and every festival has its own rituals and traditions to celebrate. The most fun and loving festival is that of Holi, by smearing colours on your loved ones. But what type of colours you use and how it can affect your skin is the biggest issue nowadays.
Basically, there are two types of colours people prefer, dry and water colours. These colours are sometimes quite difficult to be removed from the skin. If you have a dry skin, it can cause several skin problems like irritation, itching, redness, etc.
Try any of these effective homemade packs to get rid of the colours after playing Holi:
Just the use of face packs is not enough. It is also necessary to take precautions before playing Holi. Apply olive oil or coconut oil all over the skin before setting out to start this tradition of smearing colours on others. This can help in removing the colours easily once you thoroughly wash your skin with cold water. Men should not shave before Holi. Shaving after Holi can help remove colours easily.
Besan and Curd:
Colours can make dry skin even more dry. Prepare a pack of besan, curd and 2-3 drops of rose water. apply it to your face and neck and leave it for about 20 minutes. Then rinse off your face with normal water.
Almond and Honey:
Grind 3-4 almonds in a mixture, add a teaspoon of honey, few drops of lemon juice and a teaspoon of milk. Apply this paste to your face and let it dry. Wash your face with water after it is completely dried.
Masoor dal and orange peel:
Take 2-3 teaspoons of masoor dal, 2-3 slices of dried orange peels and grind these in a mixture. Add a few drops of lemon juice to this mixture and apply it to your skin. Once it dries, rinse off with normal water.
Smash a banana and add a teaspoon of honey and milk each to the mashed bananas. Apply it to face and neck. Let it dry and then wash your face with lukewarm water.
Lemon juice and Aloe Vera:
Extract the gel of aloe vera in a bowl and add few drops of lemon juice to it. Take a cotton ball, soak it in this mixture and dab the cotton ball on your face and skin.
This face pack is one of the best for many purposes. It is almost found in every house. Soak multani mitti in cold water and apply this paste to your skin. Let it dry and then rinse off your skin with lukewarm water.
