Masala steel cut Oats

Ingredients
1/2 cup Gluten-free Steel-cut Oats
1 Onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp Carrots chopped
2 tbsp Fresh peas
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
6-7 Curry leaves
1 pinch Asafoetida
5gm Green chilies
1 pinch Chilli flakes
1½ cup Water
2 tbsp Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
1 tbsp Oil
Salt as desired

5gm Green chilies
1 pinch Chilli flakes
1½ cup Water
2 tbsp Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
1 tbsp Oil
Salt as desired
Directions
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. After the oil heats up, add mustard seeds and allow them to pop, followed by asafoetida and curry leaves.
- Add the True Elements steel cut oats and green chillies and lightly stir it over low heat. Add chopped onions, carrots and peas and cook for another 2 minutes.
- After the veggies are partially cooked, add water to it. Throw in the salt and chilli flakes. Mix it well and allow the mixture to come to a boil. Lower the flame and allow the mixture to be cooked for 5 more minutes. Stir continuously.
- The flame can be turned off at this moment. Serve with a garnish of fresh coriander leaves.
